Legacy Fiberoptics offers fusion splicer repair for a variety of manufacturers, past and present. We have worked on most splicers even those built in the early days of fiber optics. Our technicians are specialists that have been trained to troubleshoot issues to the component level. This saves the customer time and money.

Cleavers are the source of many issue associated with fusion splicing. A cleaver which is not properly maintained with eventually never work right. High cleave angles, bubbles in splices and high estimated losses can all point to issues with cleavers. Our technicians inspect several aspects of the cleaver including operation such as cleave angles and measured actual splice loss.
